I just re-installed Windows on my laptop, because there was something seriously wrong with it, and I didn’t feel like trying to figure out what the problem was. So I just backed up my pictures, and a few other things, and then wiped everything out.
All I know about the problem my computer had was that Javascript wasn’t working properly, so certain programs wouldn’t run. For example I tried to open up the Services window, and it was just blank. I tried to do a System Restore, and when that window opened up, IT was blank. There were a few other programs that had this same issue, like Mcafee, which hadn’t been working properly for some time now. I was just too lazy to find a fix for it. Then came to realize it wasn’t just Mcafee that had the problem. I had been wanting to re-image my computer for a while now, since I haven’t done it in the 3 years that I’ve had the laptop. It was never a major issue of needing to do it, but I just wanted to because it had a lot of junk on it, and I didn’t need it. I am hoping I don’t regret wiping it without thinking twice about it, and only backing up a few things before doing so. I think I will be happy that I did it once I get all my programs re-installed again, and get it back to how I had it before.
So since I need to re-install all my software and I decided to make a list of the programs and things that I need to install. This list won’t be in any particular order. I will list them as I remember what I need, and find the download link to them.
Firefox – Download
Firefox is the most-used web browser, even more than Internet Explorer. Why do so many people use Firefox? Well, there are many reasons. First, Firefox comes with many security functions. For example, it warns you if you try to visit a known malware site. In addition, this web browser makes it easy to clear all your private data – with one click. Also included in this browser is a pop-up blocker. The second reason people like Firefox is the add-on database. Many companies and individuals have created add-ons that will customize your Firefox browser and make it work better. For example, you can download an add-on called Adblocker Plus that will block most website’s advertisements. For a full feature list visit the Firefox website.

I recently came to learn how useful using the excerpt feature that is built into Wordpress. You can use excerpts if you want to show a short blurb for each post on your blog’s homepage, which I have been wanting to do on Tweeaks for a long time now I just didn’t know how to do it. Since I was doing some layout modifications, and tweaks FINALLY, I figured I should find out how to use excerpts, and I am happy I did. It’s so easy
