• My Experience As A Volunteer At Wordcamp Boston (with Session Slides) #wcbos

Wordcamp Boston 2010Now that it’s over I wanted to write about how great Wordcamp Boston was. Check out #wcbos or #bestwordcampever if you need more proof. Or you can relive it on the live blog. I first found out about it a couple weeks before the tickets went on sale, and I immediately wanted to go. The next thing I heard was that tickets were sold out….bummer. I didn’t even know they went on sale and they were already gone. Luckily I happened to see they still needed volunteers, which I was willing to settle for even though I wouldn’t be able to see and do everything I wanted when I wanted, and I would have to do work. I just wanted to be apart of it, and I was one of those chosen to volunteer so I would be able to go after all

How To Create A REAL Photo Manipulation Of Your Dreams

tutorialsThis is an amazing tutorial on Pxleyes.com, formally PhotoshopTalent.com. The tutorial shows you how to take different pieces of a regular stock photo, and create an awesome photo manipulation of a old fantasy space city. This is what I consider what a REAL photo manipulation is. When I think of the term photo manipulation, I think of it to be when you take a photo, alter it and manipulate it in such an extreme way that it is a totally new, completely different image in the end. Apparently, according to Wikipedia, the concept is a bit more broad than what I think, but that’s okay because Wikipedia is dumb, and I’m smart

This is the first tutorial of a couple I plan to make this month. It is a rather simple tutorial, but the result is creepy none-the-less. Here is what we’ll be making

The only thing that was disappointing to me was that I was only able to find 3 tutorials I thought were really worth anyone’s time trying or reading about for that matter. But that just means I’m going to have to make a dance tutorial of my own in the future! Come try these one’s out in the meantime, and I’ll get to work on one of my own

Awesome 3D Studio Max Tutorial: 3D Couch Box Model and Room

A while back I created a tutorial on how to model a 3D couch and room using 3D Studio Max. It was a project I did for a class I had while I was still in college, and I came across it today, so I decided to post it. It is a rather basic box modeling tutorial, but it teaches some good concepts for anyone that may be new to 3Ds Max, or new to 3D modeling.

It takes a bit of time to do, only because of the complexity of 3D modeling, and 3Ds Max, but it is well worth trying out. I have done this again after I created it, and it seemed to be well documented, and easy to follow. So without further ado, lets get started on the 3D box model
