Paddy Donnelly posted this truly inspiring, and creatively insightful article, which you can tell just by how many people are talking about it. It was posted not even 6 hours ago, and it already has nearly 300 comments at the time of writing this, and it has been re-tweeted by so many people. When there’s that much buzz about something going on you know it has to be something good. It is one of the coolest, and most inspiring articles on design and blogging that I’ve ever read. It will make your mouth water with the delicious visually graphical goodness, or something like that.

I felt as though it was telling a story by using different scenes with images and typography design elements in order to help convey the message. Like most things in life though, not everyone likes the same stories. Go check it out, it is not to be missed.

Though, I have created a new list of even more websites with wonderful designs that are so inspiring, I decided I was going to re-design a totally original theme for this website. I have yet to start working on, but nevertheless! I will do it eventually. I don’t know what I want to do yet, but I intend to make an original design that maybe, I might see listed on one of these, “amazing website designs”, types of lists. Anyways, that’s another topic for another day, and until it happens I can dream, right?

My capstone site consists of graphics, website designs, and videos that I have made for school, work, or for myself on my own time. The navigation could not be simpler with the main, sub and sidebar navigation like this page has, but the difference in the navigation is the footer has a sort of sitemap for that part of the site. There is also a sub sub navigation on each thumbnail page to navigate to specific categories. Each thumbnail and title link to a full image page that displays the full size image and description. The image and title on the full size image pages link back to the previous page.

The video pages have an embedded flash video player that I created from scratch in Flash. This is the only part of the site that I have not yet completed but it should be done very soon. The only thing I need to do is convert my video files to .flv files and then upload them.

The one thing I don’t like is that I had to make it all in basic X-HTML and CSS so that it could be put on a disk because I need to turn it into my teacher and run from a computer. I would have liked to code it with PHP, but I was told to make it in just HTML
