It’s time for another dose of design inspiration. I think it’s necessary for designers to look at others work often to help expanding the imagination of creativity. It opens you up to more ideas and things that you wouldn’t normally even think of or consider doing yourself. I think my favorite type graphic art is photo manipulation because it is one of the most creative forms of art I’ve ever seen, and it requires an extreme amount of skill to do effectively

I can make a hundred of these lists just from the amazing images I have seen on Behance, and I just might. There are some unbelievable designers on that site that I have to really give a lot of credit for the work they do. I’d say I have better than average design skills, but there are some people out there that really push the envelope.
This list of photo manipulations is so breathtaking, I don’t know how else I can better describe them besides simply astonishing. I collected this list a while back in just one visit to Behance, and it didn’t take long to find all of these either. I know you will enjoy these amazing works of art, and creative design masterpieces
This is truly an inspiring, and creatively insightful article and it shows. It was posted not even 6 hours ago, and it already has nearly 300 comments at the time of writing this, and it has been re-tweeted by so many people. When there’s that much buzz about something going on you know it has to be something good. I think this is one of the coolest, and most inspiring articles on design and blogging that I’ve read. It will make your mouth water with the delicious visually graphical goodness
This is a video that shows a sneak peak of some of the features being developed by Photoshop Laps. It includes new painter-style brushes that you can change and control in ways never possible before. If you have ever used brushes in Corel Draw you might notice the similar idea here. The video shows the use of a ‘wet’ brush being smudged and smeared.
I recently found myself becoming much more interested in improving my design skills, more interested than ever before, too, which I didn’t think was possible, and because of this growing interest I have been seeking out all sorts of information that has to do with web and graphic design improvement, and overall knowledge and understanding for what good, quality design really is.
I have always thought of myself as a skilled designer, but only in my world. I know the truth is I still have endless amounts to learn, since I am constantly reminded everyday of how little I know because of all the design blogs and websites I visit daily. I am envious of the people that work for the website networks

A while back I was at work with nothing to do, during down time or something, and I wanted to make some kind of graphic or something in Photoshop, but I couldn’t think of anything to make. So I thought why not make the thing I was looking at, my computer screen! I didn’t really expect much from the end result since I was just doing it to kill some time, so I just started to create it just for the hell of doing something

This post is a spin-off of 2 other ones on Dzine Blog, and WebDesignerDepot which are similar to this.
The question of what makes good graphic design is one that cannot be answered simply or succinctly as there are a myriad of factors and variables to consider when it comes to the colourful world of both art and design.

When I got my iPod I decided to make a design of it in Photoshop, and figured while I’m at it, why not make a tutorial on it. I have a silver 8GB 3rd generartion iPod Nano. Here is what the final result of this tutorial will look like.
