Everyone gets sick of all the thousands of advertisements seen on the internet, on just about every website you visit, at any given time. Some advertisements are so annoying and sometimes you just want them gone. You may be one of the 58 million Firefox users that have installed the extension, 
I recently came to learn how useful using the excerpt feature that is built into Wordpress. You can use excerpts if you want to show a short blurb for each post on your blog’s homepage, which I have been wanting to do on Tweeaks for a long time now I just didn’t know how to do it. Since I was doing some layout modifications, and tweaks FINALLY, I figured I should find out how to use excerpts, and I am happy I did. It’s so easy
Since today is Blog Action Day, I am writing about something different than design. This is about the changing climate, and the issue of global warming which the world is dealing with today.
I hadn’t noticed it as much as I did after watching the movie The Day After Tomorrow, great film by the way, and the day after watching it, the Tsunami of December 26, 2006 happened, killing thousands of people and wiping out towns and villages all over the affected countries.
The whole next year I was hearing on the news about how there were wild fires in California, ice storms in Minnesota, hurricanes in the Florida, and snow storms around where I live in New England. There were natural disasters happening all over the world, and if you don’t think they are being caused by global warming and the earth trying to correct itself, then you are just ignorant.
Global warming is a very real thing, and we are the cause of it. We need to be the solution to it, and fast, before it’s too late if it isn’t already.
Some of the things I think should be done, as possible solutions are:
- Stop using fuel-powered vehicles
- Stop burning fossil-fuels
- Use wind power to generate electricity
- Stop cutting down trees and forests
- Stop creating waste and non bio-degradable products
- Create cleaner technologies all around
These are just my suggestions, and I know other people feel the same way. I’m not an expert of climate change, or global warming, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that there is a major problem, and something needs to be done to fix it.
What sort of solutions do you think should be done to stop global warming?

While I believe that Global warming exists, I don't believe we are the main cause of it. Of course, we've probably sped it up a little. As for those suggestions, those are the things that are pretty commonly suggested. The problem is in current times it is no economically viable to just suddenly stop cutting down trees or stop using fossil fuels. Plus, people are pricks and think that "one person doesn't make a difference" Too many people have that attitude and so it does make a difference per se.

@LC, I agree that you can't just stop doing certain things, but there hasn't been ANYthing done to over how many years. And one person can make a difference, but too many people are expecting someone else to be that one person to make the difference. They just sit and wait for someone else to do it, and then nobody ends up doing anything.
